Artist bio:
James Jensen aka Maniac Jim is a rapper from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. Born in Alberta, Maniac Jim lived in poverty, abuse, and neglect, and constantly changing schools because of moving.
So (Maniac) fell in love with hip-hop especially rap to escape, listening to artist like 2pac, Biggie, wu-tang clan, Dr Dre and N.W.A, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem. In middle school Maniac Jim wrote his first song as a poetry project in class, which got him high marks but was forced to stop writing music because the lyrics were about his life and his parents did not like that.
Jump a few years and Maniac Jim has a breakdown because of his past and keeping it bottled up. He ends up being in a half way house for people with mental issues and returns back to writing.
Maniac Jim is a brutally honest artist, that's not afraid to say what's on his mind, using a unique style and rapid word play, he clearly knows how to get his point across, and an artist to watch out for.
